The Les Paul Jr. in any guise is certainly one of Matt's favorite guitars of all time.
In The Ultimate Les Paul Jr. During the workshop, you will have the option to choose between a single cut or double cut.
With a couple of tweaks here and a couple of tweaks there we are going to reimagine one of the coolest rock n' roll guitars of all time.
We are going to make it sleek and stylish with some important durability and aesthetic upgrades not offered anywhere else like a 7 degree headstock, two way truss rod, any pickup combination you want and any finish color you want, neck binding, inlay and more. Oh yeah, you want to do one with a Floyd Rose like the guy from SkidRow? I don't care; make the guitar you want.
We're only going to be using premium components like Honduran mahogany for bodies and necks, and rosewood or black kingwood fretboards.
So, let's build some guitars! This is a super fun workshop it's got everything you’ll build a timeless instrument and gain a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship behind this iconic instrument. All participants will be provided with all the woodworking, frets and finishing materials (pickups and hardware are not included...we have no idea what you want but will provide you with a detailed list of what you will need) and a full week at the Texas Toast shop with Matt & Chris.
